My favorite Viking: Niu

I now refuse to eat in any other eat-all-you-can buffet any other than Niu by Vikings in SM Aura. I promised my self that I would eat here on my birthday because of the discount, and to binge on foie gras.  That was August.  I found a perfect excuse to go back here on my sister’s birthday (October).  On both times, happiness. The interiors beautiful, … Continue reading My favorite Viking: Niu

Betsy’s Cake Center – Malabon Food Tour

The Malabon food trip is recently gaining prominence in mainstream and digital media so NATURALLY, I found myself in the area.  My tummy buddy and I were hoping to get into that Malabon Tricycle Food Tour.  It was sad that not all people from/in Malabon knows of it. They don’t even know the places we were talking about.  So I guess it means it is in … Continue reading Betsy’s Cake Center – Malabon Food Tour

So French-y as it may sound, a quick googling led me to find out that this bakeshop is actually Korean in origin.  You learn a little something (in English:  everyday).  I’m not keen on Korean TV series nor … Continue reading The French that is Korean: Tous Les Jours

Dome – Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City

Dome has become my favorite coffee place recently. Their coffee has a good body. And their desserts drive me crazy. It’s way quieter than a Starbucks coffee shop where kids frequent. Here, only hushes of business meetings or friends’ tete a tete envelope the place. And their Wi-Fi connection is for free. It’s the kind of place that will inspire you to get things done. … Continue reading Dome – Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City

Cake Basket – Taytay, Rizal

(Updated) There’s really something with home-made cakes and pastries. Maybe it’s the personal touch, the attentiveness to details, that makes home-made goodies superior over the commercial ones. Here in my home town Taytay, Rizal, there’s a two-year old cake shop called the Cake Basket. We recently celebrated my nephew’s third birthday. As we are oh-so-familiar with cakes from commercial bakeshops Goldilocks and Red Ribbon, one … Continue reading Cake Basket – Taytay, Rizal
