CATHEDRAL PARISH OF ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER – TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL

Bohol is a treasure trove of an island. It’s a place to back to over and over again. Bohol’s got Chocolate Hills, world’s smallest primate Tarsier, awesome beaches over at Panglao Island, and some great churches.

Cathedral Parish of St. Joseph the Worker is one of the lesser known church here, relative to Baclayon Church and Loboc Church. But this has charm all its own. And that charm may be one of the reason people flock here – well, that and the fact that it’s in downtown area and there’s a park right across it.=)

Right across the street is a park where a lot of people still hang out. I couldn’t believe that people still pass time this way, you know, with the advent of internet and whatnot, I thought they’d be spending time in front of computers. Not here in Tagbilaran. Old-school parks with real birds (not Angry Birds) fly around or hang out with people.

There were so many pigeons there it was like Milan! It’s the local Milan!

There’s so many pigeons you can see one on the head of Jose Rizal’s, our national hero, statue…
