This place is famous for their crispy pata or deep fried pork knuckles; their glorious, marvelous creation that brings it with it a unique smell and flavor.

The Judy Ann crispy pata has this mouthwatering crunchy skin and soft, tender meat underneath that.  It’s salty, a bit sweet, a hint of that pickle taste.  We noticed that there were a lot of take-outs for this.  As it was, Jamico’s Restaurant is famous for the take out for this crispy pata.  It ranks number 5 in spot.ph Top 10 Crispy Pata in Manila of 2014.  Judy Ann is the name of one of the daughters of the founder.  She now co-owns the restaurant with her sister.  The name does not pertain to the Filipina TV and movie actress.

We also ordered some veggies to compliment the crispy pata.  The veggies are quite crisp too.  It was good for two. The crispy pata, good for 5 maybe!  We took home the leftover.  It was not as crisp when I got home but it was still awesome!  You really cannot put a good food down.

This place has undergone renovation already.  It’s two-storey well-lit restaurant proudly stands along the stretch of General Luna Street.  It is a far cry from what it was in 2013 when I first heard of it; waaay better maybe when it was first established in the 1970s.
