Guimaras is famous for their ridiculously sweet and sumptuous mangoes. It’s their pride and glory here. Anywhere you turn your eyes to, there’s mango tree plantation; everything has a mango flavor variation — biscocho, even ketchup. They protect their mangoes fiercely.
Mangoes are the only good thing you’d eat in the restaurant in Raymen Beach Resort. I strain my tastebuds to sense anything in their menu, but to no avail.
The great food here was outside this restaurant. One morning, as we were to go on island hopping, we found this lobster vendor selling to us his finds at an affordable price.
Fresh finds from the waters of Guimaras. And you know what, there are more wonders in the waters of Guimaras. See more photos of this beautiful island from our adventure by clicking here.
